dc.description.abstractAs the school is a place of education for children, it is therefore imperative to ensure that it is properly designed to provide an appropriate educational environment for student learning. This research focuses on the spatial layout of classrooms on one hand, and the impact of the physical environment on children's learning on the other. In order to reach our goal of identifying problems in the layout of learning spaces, and to answer our problem concerning the design of classrooms meeting the standards of architectural quality, two primary schools in Algiers were chosen for the application of our experimentation (survey and maintenance), which took place during the course hours, with the teachers and students of 4th and 5th grade. The synthesis of our experimental work relating to the analysis of the investigation tools allowed us to highlight a series of recommendations in order to propose actions to improve the learning environment and provide the student all the conditions of comfort. necessary for his well-being
