Le jardin du Foyer Civique : De la conception originelle à l’usage actuel

Abstract

In his moments of distraction man always returns to his source: to nature as to a refuge or a place of recollection, just as the city dweller turns to his public garden and always seeks his proximity. At the Field of maneuvers of Algiers the refuge is the old park Brunel HLM, that of the basin, the train and the huge Civic Foyer, the one who saw all the children grow up in the neighborhood since colonization and until well after independence, which still exists nowadays, but which, however, has aged badly and lost its charms since all the ill-treatment it has suffered. This study will be a research in spatial syntax of the relationship between the spatial modification and the change of activities practiced by the users of this public garden and which aims to promote a return to Brunel Park: at the source.
