Diagnostic paysager par l’approche visuelle, sous l’angle physico-spatial

Abstract

The notion of heritage is now expending to include the cultural landscape as an element of territorial identity which has been made centuries ago by different natural and human factors. Being a heritage is considered as a key element to be protected. In this regard, the sitological analysis is imposed by means of perception and is complemented by the morphological approach, for the purpose of landscape identification and evaluation of natural and built components. Our research is based on the previous context and focused on the identification of great interest in the Fort El-Nabot in Cherchell, which is a historical monument tracing the civilizations that took place in this region. Through the perceptual approach, we first studied the landscape integration character of the Fort at its site, which is distinguished by a particular morphology. Then, we studied the recognition of the relationship established between the Fort and its landscape, from where, we picked our principal and main problematics: 1) How did fort El-Nabot fit into its landscape? 2) What relationship can be recognized between the Fort and its landscape? Therefore, the analysis led us to correlate the insertion of the Fort El-Nabot with the morphology of its site of implantation. So far as contributed strongly to the identification of the landscape values which, in their turn, motivate the protection of the good and its surroundings by means of objective actions valuing the landscape concerns.
