Abstract

Energy rehabilitation is clearly a highly topical issue that continues to evolve. By this present research we present a study of the energy rehabilitation of an existing building that was built since the 50s which is the Pernod building in Algiers. A research by which we want to initiate the urgency to start these practices in Algeria, given its significant impact on the reduction of the energy bill and the valuation of existing buildings that constitute most of our cities. In addition, take advantage of the rehabilitation works to improve the energy impact and comfort of the inhabitants. Therefore; in the first part of this work we established a theoretical research on the energy rehabilitation practice, the approach, the techniques, the regulatory aspect and the verification tools, to better define the subject. The second part of this work, consists in carrying out an analysis using the application RETA and Pléiades + Comfie, which helped us a lot in enriching our reflection on the subject. Through the RETA application we simulated the need for the current building status and verified its compliance with the Algerian thermal regulations. In addition, we simulated the dynamic energy requirement by Pléiades + Comfie to discuss the results and not stop at absolute values. The last part represents a conclusion that reflects all the results obtained after experimentation and that will allow us to make recommendations and proposals for the energy improvement of building through the improvement of its openings, insulation of the its roof and before that we simulated the impact of a future joint ownership on the energetic behavior of building.
