Préservation du Patrimoine Bâti en Algérie Analyse et diagnostic de la réhabilitation du siège de la Mairie d’El-Harrach

Abstract

Today the old buildings with heritage value are in a dilapidated and degraded state. Thus, Algeria has put a pat of interventions in this situation, but despite all these thoughts about the different modes of intervention notably those of rehabilitation, these old buildings are always found in a degraded state just after a short period of intervention, including the arrival of a major risk as the earthquake of 2003. This intervention of rehabilitation which is our concern in this research, is based on methods of analysis and evaluation, as it also addresses different techniques for strengthening and consolidation. Therefore, we think it is very interesting to have a background knowledge on best methods of rehabilitation and seismic evaluation and the different techniques of strengthening and consolidation before any decision to intervene on any building especially when it comes to those with heritage value. Once this background knowledge acquired, and identified the problems in the techniques used in rehabilitation intervention today, we can take a good pat again, by proposing solutions that will help ensure the sustainability of building and its resistance to seismic risks while maintaining the rich heritage it brings. In this way, we took the office of the Town Hall of El Harrach as a case study throughout this present research.
