Abstract

The world in recent decades recognized excessive demand for fossil energy following a technological development, industrial and demographic. However, a danger of pollution appears through the issue of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that produce the greenhouse effect phenomenon and causing global warming. Which leads the world in general and Algeria in particular to look inexhaustible and renewable energy sources such as solar energy to solve the problem of mastery’s energy in different sectors and specifically the residential sector, which is considered the most energy sector. The objective of this study was to evaluate the reduction of energy consumption in building from a study of the heating requirements of an apartment type F3, which is a party of apartment building located in the city of Blida (Algeria) and occupied by an average family of five people. This study is based on a dynamic thermal simulation performed using the TRNSYS software, which allows us initially to assess the monthly needs of conventional heaters used in this apartment. Secondly, the integration of solar thermal collectors was made, which are used to produce heat, thermal simulation was remade for the second time to re-evaluate the energy needs of heaters and deduce the energy consumption reduction compared to the first simulation.
